Utility tariff documents contain details that a headline price cannot express. My Power Rates connects readable rate sheets with a local calculation tool, so you can move from a rule to the arithmetic it produces.
The project is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an enrollment service for SMUD or Portland General Electric. It cannot confirm your account’s eligibility; the utility must do that.
Free access without an account
The directory, imports, calculations, what-if scenarios, device saving and exports are free. There are no payment tiers, subscriptions or email gates in this edition.
No runtime language model interprets your bill, and no external billing API receives your usage. The calculation uses explicit versioned rules and decimal arithmetic.
National reference, reviewed tariff coverage
Official EIA benchmarks cover all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Monthly prices, their year-earlier comparison and annual household bills are labeled with their own reporting periods. These observed averages provide context; they are not available rate plans.
The calculator covers two utilities and four reviewed programs. It does not assume that state reference coverage makes every local utility eligible for a calculation. Solar generation, net metering, batteries, commercial demand rates, dynamic market prices and critical peak events require separate models.
